Beyond Liturgical Inculturation: Transforming the Deep Structures of Faith

Anthony J. Gittins

There is misunderstanding and disagreement about inculturation, often mistaken for what is really acculturation. Much work has concentrated on liturgy or rite. The author re-examines the nature and fruits of authentic inculturation, re-situating it in its broadest context, in the hope that it might stimulate the analogical imagination 1 and contribute to the ongoing dialogue.
